Photos on Friday: Presidential Pardoned Turkeys at Mount Vernon
Turkeys have been gifted to the White House since the late 19th century. However, sometime during the 20th century, the tradition of presidential pardoned Turkeys began. President Obama has been pardoning turkeys throughout his administration and the turkeys have gone to Mount Vernon to live out their days.
